Lisa Armstrong

A fashion authority with more than 18 years in the field, including eight years as fashion features director at Vogue, Lisa is currently fashion editor of The Times. She also contributes to Harper's Bazaar in the US and is a contributing editor on British Vogue. Alongside this, Lisa is the fashion expert in the current series of Channel 4's 10 Years Younger.

Shelly Vella

Currently fashion director at Cosmopolitan magazine, Shelly has worked in fashion for around 20 years on titles including Elle, You magazine and Company. Enforcing a 'no-fur coverage' policy wherever she works, Shelly believes in educating readers in the joys of cruelty-free fashion.

Wayne Hemingway

Wayne Hemingway

Co-founder of successful fashion label Red or Dead, Wayne sold the company and set up Hemingway Design, which specialises in affordable and social design, including housing, interiors, technology and product design. The company is now one of the leading house-design practices in the UK.

Food industry

Andrew Opie

Andrew Opie

Director of food and consumer policy at the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and a qualified rural surveyor, Andrew lobbies the government, the Food Standards Agency and other stakeholders on behalf of retailers. He joined the BRC in 2005 after eight years as head of policy services with the National Farmers' Union.

Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson is an award-winning journalist and broadcaster, whose writing appears regularly in the Sunday Times Magazine and the Daily Telegraph. He is also a contributing editor for Esquire, and regularly contributes to Radio 4's Food Programme. He has fronted several prime-time television series - including Full on Food and Kill It, Cook It, Eat It for the BBC - and is one of the judges on ITV's Taste The Nation.


Geoff Spriegel

Dr Geoff Spriegel

Geoff has held a number of senior technical positions in food and drink manufacture and retailing. He has also represented the food industry on expert government committees and organisations such as the ethical trading initiative, assured farm standards and the Institute of Food Research.

Alf (John) Webster

AJF (John) Webster, MA Vet, MB, PhD, MRCVS

John is Professor Emeritus at the University of Bristol, where he established a unit for the study of animal behaviour and welfare. A founder member of the Farm Animal Welfare Council, John first propounded the Five Freedoms, which define the elements of good welfare in domestic animals. He has written several books on animal welfare.
