People's Choice Award - Supermarket

In association with The Independent
The Independent

After the success of last year's first "People's Choice Supermarket" award, won by The Co-operative, we are proud to be partnering once again with national daily newspaper The Independent, to give the public the chance to vote for their ethical business favourite – the one they feel is putting animal welfare first.

The supermarket shortlist, chosen by our judges, will be announced in August with simple voting by text and online. If you want your company to be the People's Choice look out for more information in the summer – 11,500 people voted last year, with The Co-operative coming out on top.

The Judges said: "Hugely impressive. Even during a recession, animal welfare principles still underpin all that The Co-operative does…"
