The new 2008 entry forms have arrived!

The Good Business Awards, now in its fourth year, recognises the growth in ethical business. If you think your business excels in areas such as standards, auditing, training or the positioning of animal welfare as part of your business and ethos, these are the Awards for you.

The judges, all of whom are independent experts in their fields, are looking for new ideas that promote animal welfare in business. There are awards for innovation -- which can be one initiative during the year -- and overall achievement.

The awards have grown, every year, both in terms of applications and attendance at the gala reception at the Natural History Museum. And this year they look like being bigger than ever. Why not be a part of it?

Animal welfare is now recognised by consumers as an important part of their buying policy. People even felt that animal welfare was more important to them than climate change when buying products1. Household spending on ethical goods has nearly doubled in the past five years and now averages £664. Animal welfare is good for you and your business.

As shoppers become more aware of the origin of consumer items and the processes they go through, reaching the conscientious consumer is becoming an increasingly important element of every marketing strategy. As a result, the RSPCA established the RSPCA Good Business Awards to encourage improvements in companies' retail policies.

The Awards aim to provide consumers with guidance on which companies have positively considered animal welfare.
Now in their third year, the Awards are designed to set a benchmark for animal welfare in business - and are a unique opportunity for companies to key in to what consumers are calling for.
